So, I went backpacking, and got back home today. I went to Feather Falls, near Oroville, CA. We hiked in on Saturday, mostly downhill, and after about a 5-mile hike, got to the top of the waterfall, which is about 600 feet tall, we went swimming in some pools above to waterfall, and had a good time. On Sunday, we got up, ate breakfast, and hiked back, taking the other half of the loop back to the parking lot.
The last mile before the parking lot was ALL uphill, which majorly sucked.
We eventually got to the parking lot, and there were some campsites nearby. We set up camp there and stayed overnight, then drove home.
I love getting home after trips, because then I can sit here for a few hours and go through all my YouTube subscriptions, all the status updates from all the people I am "friends" with on Facebook, and going over to the lovely website called Twitter to see if any of the people I follow have posted anything mildly interesting in the last 1/2 hour.
I have a freshman orientation tomorrow, which includes getting my picture taken, which means my picture will have mosquito bites on my forehead in it. Maybe the makeup picture will be ok, whenever that is.
